woods fund creates video to demonstrate successes of its south side initiative

After five years of strategic support to build community organizing capacity on Chicago’s South Side, the Woods Fund, a Member of Donors Forum since we were founded in 1974, announced in the fall of 2009 that it was phasing out of the South Side Initiative.  To document the results of the project, which include, according to a press release from Woods, “nascent organizations have strengthened capacity, powerful relationships have been formed among organizers, and a deeper understanding of key South Side issues” the foundation has created a video.
